ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – The immediate past governor of Sokoto State and senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has cautioned President Bola Tinubu to stop disassociating himself from Muhammadu Buhari’s administrative failure.
Tambuwal, who spoke in Sokoto at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders’ meeting, yesterday, said from day one, the APC as a political party had no plans to secure the country, but was only interested in power grabbing to rule the country.
The former governor said it was worrisome to see Tinubu’s aides and associates using some unsolicited and negative remarks against Buhari’s tenure.
“The same Tinubu’s government that has failed to secure Nigerians in the past one year is now lamenting and disassociating itself from Buhari’s administrative failure.
“There’s no reason for President Tinubu to allow his aides or ministers to be castigating and attacking the APC government under Buhari because he has tremendously benefited from it.
“President Tinubu should face the governing of Nigeria with serious minded attention and not allow certain myopic tendencies in his government to destroy his good plans, if at all.
“In reality, Nigerians want to be assured of the security of their lives and property anywhere they are in the country. He should tell his cabinet members to work more on national cohesion and development if at all he is ready, instead of blaming the past government of Buhari.
He, however, charged the PDP supporters not to be discouraged about the happenings in the country, but to unite and ensure political understanding within the party’s family.
“You have been in the vanguard of change and political unity. This will be your guiding principles of peace and unity with discipline and respect to everybody in the party.”
Tambuwal also commended the PDP leadership in Sokoto State for their sacrifice and unity and development of the party at that level.
Chairman of the PDP in Sokoto State, Alhaji Bello Goronyo, thanked the party’s supporters for their support so far and urged them not to relent.
He also commended Tambuwal’s efforts in uniting the party in the state alongside his financial contribution towards the successful running of the party’s affairs in the state.
The stakeholders’ meeting of the party had in attendance all the party’s leadership and elders from the 23 local governments areas of the state.
