KAIMA (Kwara) – Two brothers, Danladi and Danlami Makoso, on Thursday appeared before an Area Court in Kaiama, Kwara, for allegedly threatening to deal with one Abdulwahab Mahmud.
Mahmud had filed a direct complaint before the court that the two brothers, his neighbours at Alfa Hadi compound, Gabasawa area of Kaiama, Kaiama local government area, trespassed and dug soak-away a piece of land he inherited from his maternal grandfather.
He said the duo intimidated him and threatened to deal with him when they were challenged. [eap_ad_1] “I pray to the court to prosecute the accused accordingly for the offence in the interest of justice,” he said.
The accused were brought to court on a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass and criminal intimidation contrary to sections 97, 348 and 397 of the Penal Code Law.
In his ruling on the case transferred from a Kaiama Magistrates’ Court, the Area Court presiding officer, Malam Ahmed Yahaya, granted bail to the accused.
Yahay adjourned the case to Aug. 25 for hearing. (NAN)
