LAFIA- group under the aegis of Nasarawa State Initiative for AA Sule 2023, has said that Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s records of achievements would earn him second term in office.
Engr. Moses Utondu, Chairman of the group stated this when he led others a courtesy visit to the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr John Mamman on Tuesday in Lafia.
Utondu, who is also the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the governor on Security Matters, said the group comprised of political appointees and other APC stakeholders in the state.
According to Utondo, the achievements of the governor in the last three years have greatly impacted the people and improved the rating of Nasarawa State on several fronts.
He said the group has structures from the state level down to the polling units and saddled with the sole responsibility of sensitising the people to vote for Sule given his track record of achievements.
“It is one thing to perform and another for the people to know. So, it’s our duty to preach about his performance to those yet to come to terms with his achievements,” he said.
Utondu noted that as political appointees, they were doing their best individually to propagate the achievements of the governor, but decided to come together to harness ideas for maximum impact that would ensure the reelection of the governor in 2023.
Responding, Mamman, thanked the group for the efforts in trying to actualise the reelection bid of Gov. Sule.
He said the group’s effort would go a long way to complement the party towards electoral victory in 2023.
Mamman urged them not to relent in carrying the message to the grassroots in order to ensure an overwhelming victory for the the party in the general elections.
The party chairman noted that the governor’s achievements, especially in the areas of security, infrastructure and attracting investments for economic development of the state were glaring for all to see.
He, however, said that the party would not relent as electioneering campaign starts, to take the message to all nooks and crannies of the state.
Maman assured the people of the state that given the governor’s disposition, vision and commitment, he would leave the state far better than he met it for the benefit of the people. (NAN)
