LAGOS – A 19-year-old man, Samson Omoshowon, who allegedly broke into a shop with intent to steal, was on Wednesday brought before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.
Omoshowon, whose address was not provided, is facing a charge of entering a residence to commit felony and attempted felony.
The prosecutor, ASP Godwin Eze, told the court that the accused, on Nov. 18, at 12.30p.m., at No.73, Shibiri Road, Ajangbadi in Okokomaiko, Lagos, broke into the shop of Mrs Iyabo Balogun.
“The accused, on the said date, unlawfully entered into the shop of Mrs Iyabo Balogun with intent to commit felony,” he said.
Eze said that the offences committed by the accused contravened Sections 306 and 404 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mr J. L. Hotepo, granted the accused N50,000 bail with two sureties and adjourned the case till Dec. 17, for mention. (NAN)
