AGIDI (NASARAWA) – Some residents of Mada Station in Nasarawa State on Tuesday attributed youth[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
restiveness in the area to absence of social infrastructure.
The community spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Mada Station, Agidi Development Area of the state.
They said that provision of infrastructure would reduce unemployment and youth restiveness while

improving the standard of living of the people.
They called on the state government not to relent in its efforts in providing social amenities like electricity and potable water.
Mr Anzaku Thomas, a resident of the area, decried absence of electricity and pipe borne water and called on the state government rectify the situation.
“Most of us use generators to generate power for our domestic and commercial purposes.
“We are all aware that the presence of electricity and portable water supply in any community will reduce poverty, unemployment and youths restiveness.
“It will also discourage rural-urban migration.
“The presence of these facilities will enable the youths to engage in business ventures,” Thomas said.
Mrs. Cecelia Austine said electricity and portable water supply were important to development and standard of living.
Austine commended the federal and the state governments for their efforts in improving the standard of living of the people but added that they needed to do more.
She called on them to make extra efforts to make every community enjoy the dividends of democracy.
Mr Attah Nico, a businessman, also lamented the absence of the social infrastructure.
Nico said provision of needed facilities would boost the socio-economic activities of the state and the country at large.
He called on the people of the state to live in peace and show love to one another, irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliations. (NAN)
