PORT HARCOURT – Former National U-20 male football coach, John Obuh, on Tuesday urged the U-17 national male team, Golden Eaglets, to prepare for tougher matches in the on-going African U-17 championship.

Obuh told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Port Harcourt that the Eaglets win over Niger was encouraging and would give them an edge in their group.
Obuh, who coached the U-17 team in 2009, urged the Eaglets not be complacent, but should get ready for more difficult matches.
‘’Thank God the Eaglets won their first game, but it is not uhuru yet, they should try as much as possible to win other matches.
According to Obuh, the remaining games would not be easy because the opponents would prove difficult to beat.
‘’ The more you win, the more tougher teams that you are going to meet. They should do better than they did in the first game. They should remain focused and take the games as they come,’’ he said.
Obuh said he was privileged to watch the team during their preparations for the African championship and knew that they would do well. (NAN)
