A student from Government Secondary School, Omu Aran, Kwara State, has achieved an outstanding feat in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), scoring an impressive 362 marks. Olukayode Victor Olusola’s remarkable performance places him among the top contenders for the highest scores in the examination.
While the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar, Prof. Isaq Oloyede, refrained from announcing the highest scorer to prevent confusion, Olukayode’s achievement stands out as one of the most notable in recent years.
His exceptional scores include 95 marks each in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, along with 77 in English Language.
This accomplishment is particularly significant amidst concerns over declining standards in public education, with many private schools boasting exorbitant fees. Olukayode’s success serves as a testament to the potential of students in public schools.
Born in 2009, Olukayode aspires to pursue Electrical Electronic studies at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. His mother, Beatrice Tosin, attributes his success to divine intervention and commends his dedication and diligence in his studies.
