Abuja, April 17, 2015 (NAN) Defending champions Kano Pillars basketball club on Friday in Abuja defeated hosts FCT Rocks 96-65 in a week three match in the ongoing 2014/2015 Men’s DStv Premier Basketball League.
Kano Pillars, champions in the last three seasons, took control in all the game’s four quarters, winning the first 20-15, the second 19-7, the third by 28-20 and the last 29-23.
At the end of the match, coach of Kano Pillars, Sani Ahmed, was in a jubilant mood, praising his players and expressing optimism that they would keep up the momentum.
“It was a very good game, and my players played to instructions.
“In our next game, we will play better and win our game. I will work on my team to secure a win in our next game,” he told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
On his part, Emmanuel Odah, coach of FCT Rocks, said it was a tough game for his side.
“Unfortunately we lost. It was a good game, but we did not make use of our scoring chances, and we missed a lot of shots and throws.
