We are pleased to announce that Mr. Madu Onuorah, our esteemed Publisher and Editor-in-chief, who was forcefully taken by the Ebonyi State Police Command on Wednesday, 22/5/2024, has returned home safely today around 11 am.
Upon his return, Mr. Onuorah was warmly welcomed by his family, who were understandably relieved to have him back after the distressing ordeal he endured at the hands of the police.
It has come to light that Mr. Onuorah was released late Thursday, 23/5/2024, night by the Enugu State Police, who had orchestrated his abduction through the Ebonyi Police. His release followed intense pressure and outcry, both locally and internationally, prompting the Enugu State Police Command to relent and grant him bail.
As the Management of Globalupfront Newspapers, we stand by Mr. Onuorah and are currently deliberating with our legal team on the appropriate course of action moving forward.
