Abuja – Mr Blessing Agbomehere picked expression of interest and nomination form from the national secretariat of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Abuja on Thursday in his bid for Government House, Edo.
Agbomehere, 36 told newsmen that age was on his side to enable him to modernise the state.
“The present governor of the state has tried what he can but if I become the governor today I will trash Oshiomhole’s record.
“Most of the achievements of Oshiomhole we see in Edo today are analogue, when I become the governor, I will bring modernity to governance in Edo state.
“In Nigeria and in Edo state we have tried the elderly and we have seen what they have done.
“I believe my nomination and engagement will mean engagement for good governance and it will be an engagement for the youths and it will give opportunity for the youths.
“From my personal experience most articulate economy in the world are driven by the youths’’, Agbomehere said.
Agbomehere said with the huge deposit of mineral resources in Edo state, the state ought to be the richest state in the country.
He said road construction should not be among government discourse in the age of the state.
