Lafia – Gov. Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has called on all Nigerians, especially those in position of authority, to complement the effort of the President in ensuring that Boko Haram was completely erased from Nigerian soil.
He made the call at the Armed Forces and Remembrance Day 2016 in Lafia on Friday.
“We should replicate that support by taking appropriate measures to rid our various communities and states of Boko Haram and other groups with insurgency instincts and terrorist behaviours”, Al-Makura added.
He commended the Nigerian Legion and other security outfits for their relentless effort at keeping the country united and peaceful.
“This day calls for sober reflection and appreciation of the gallant men/women who paid the ultimate price for the security and peace of Nigeria.
“I pray that God will repose their souls and grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss”, Al-Makura said.
