Actor Alesh Ola Sanni has raised alarm over the spread of fake drinks by club owners.
The actor and film producer urged Nigerians to be wary of the drinks they splash their money on.
He said this via his Instagram page.
“Lounge and club owners don’t be unfortunate, stop selling fake drinks at ridiculous prices, ahh stop killing people with poison.
“Guys please use your phone camera to always check the barcode of drinks now. You can verify by scanning with your phone.
“Some people can’t just make heaven, ridiculous amount on fake drinks. Chai Naija my country na we dey do ourselves.”
Reacting to his post, actress, Kitan Bukola, said she has been lucky to bypass fake drinks due to her knowledge of the market.
She said: “wo no be by barcode again, maybe cus I sell drinks sha. I know the original most time when I see it, especially Henny and Martel. I’m always vigilant with it, that’s why I have just one supplier.”
