The All Progressives Congress chairmen in all the Adamawa State local government areas have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.
They defected less than a week after Murtala Nyako was impeached by the PDP-led state House of Assembly.
In an interview with Saturday PUNCH in Yola on Friday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Acting Governor, Solomon Kumangar, said arrangements were in top gear to receive them into the PDP fold.
In the same breath, the 16 commissioners who served under Nyako, led by the former Commissioner for Rural Development, Aminu Iyawa, have paid a solidarity visit to the Acting Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, to pledge their loyalty to him.

Iyawa said, “The incident that led to Nyako’s impeachment is an act of God.”
Meanwhile, academic activities are set to resume at the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, following the suspension of the 10-month nationwide strike by the national body of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics.
However, the institution’s management has yet to recall students.
In a telephone interview, the branch chairman of the union, Dr. Stanley, said lecturers had been directed to return to their duty post.
He said, “It is now left for the management of the institution to call students since the lecturers are ready for classes.” (Punch)
