Abuja (Sundoiata Post) – Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 general election, Atiku Abubakar has condemned the brutal murder of aids worker, Hauwa Leman, describing it as a crime against humanity.

Atiku who assured parents of Hauwa Leman and Saifura Khorsa, and indeed all Nigerians, that he will do everything within his powers to ensure that justice is served to those who committed this heinous act, prayed Almighty God to grant the family fortitude and succour in these trying times.

He promised the families of the innocents, whose lives have been brutally cut short, that he will continue to work with our partners in Nigeria and the international community to ensure that those who are still in the captivity of the terrorists and their allies are rescued alive.

The presidential candidate prayed God to be with security forces and grant them every advantage of the enemies of our nation.

Similarly, former World Bank Vice-president, Oby Ezekwesili on Tuesday suspended its pre-campaign
activities for today in honour of aid worker Hauwa Liman, who was  executed by a terrorist organisation yesterday.

The announcement of the suspension was made on the movement’s official handle #Hope2019 in the early hours of today and tweeted thus:

“The official organisation for the Obiageli Ezekwesili’s #Hope2019 movement for the Nigerian presidency has suspended its pre-campaign activities for today in honour of aid worker Hauwa Liman, who was executed by a terrorist organisation yesterday.

“Help us Lord. Help us. Help our government to rise up in all its might, no matter how weakened. Help our Leader to decisively and permanently confront all those that kill off our young, our old, our men, our women. Our people can’t keep being killed.”
The movement’s social media handles and other platforms have gone silent to pay respects.
