Abuja – Mr Muhammad Sani-Sidi, Director-General, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), on Tuesday called on the public to donate blood to assist in treating victims of bomb blasts in parts of the country.
This is contained is a statement issued by Mr Manzu Ezekiel, Press Officer, NEMA, which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
It said that the appeal was urgent to help for the survival of victims of recent explosions recorded in Borno, Potiskum-Yobe, Jos-Plateau and Zaria-Kaduna state.

The statement said that the victims had been evacuated to various health facilities in Maiduguri, Jos and the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, where they are receiving treatment.
According to the statement, Sani-Sidi appreciates the quick response in the evacuation of the victims and assures of the immediate support of NEMA in providing drugs and medical consumables for their treatment.
NAN reports that several lives were lost and hundreds of victims sustained serious degrees of injuries in the attacks. (NAN)
