Kano – The Association of Table Water Producers of Nigeria (ATWAP) Kano State chapter, has announced the increase of the price of sachet water from N70 to N100 per bag.
The Chairman of ATWAP, Alhaji Salisu Zage announced this on Thursday when the association held an extra ordinary general meeting at the Federal Secretariat Conference Hall, Kano.
Zage said the increase was due to the economic situation in the country.

According to him, the meeting was also to find a lasting solution that would enable members to continue with the production of the sachet water for public consumption.
“We reached an agreement to sell a bag of pure water at the sum of N100 for 20 pieces,” Zage said.
He said that any member who breached the rules and code of conduct of the association would be punished.
Zage called on the general public to bear with the association.
“People should be more vigilant on the water they take, water has no enemy,” he said.
Kano State Coordinator of NAFDAC, Alhaji Mohammed Bashir, who attended the meeting promised to support the association to make sure they continue producing potable water. (NAN)
