LAGOS – The Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) on Sunday appealed to corporate organisations and philanthropists in its vicinity to contribute to the development of football through sponsorship.
The association’s chairman, Akin Ainu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that it was through such support that the association could enhance football growth.
Ainu noted that Badagry had budding talents that could represent the country internationally in the future if adequately nurtured.
“We have some corporate organisation in our area and I believe sponsoring sport development should be part of their social responsibility.
“We are already making attempt to get these organisations to be involved in what we are doing in the division.
“The talents are there for us to work on but we need resources to actualise our aim and objective of developing football,’’ he said.
