Abuja – The Barewa Old Boys Association (BOBA) has pledged to strengthen its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for teachers in the college to consolidate on the successes recorded through the initiative.
The Association, in a statement issued by its Secretary General, Dr Ahmed Mora on Tuesday in Abuja, said that the plan to strengthen the initiative followed the successes it recorded in 2015.
The statement quoted Mora as saying the decision was part of the resolutions reached by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of BOBA at the end of its first quarter meeting for 2016.
He said “NEC welcomed the reported impact of the BOBA-inspired Continuing Professional Development for teachers of the college in 2015 on academic performance of students of Barewa College, Zaria.
“The impact was demonstrated in the improved performance by students of the college in last year’s examinations conducted by both WAEC and NECO.
