BREAKING: 21 Chibok Girls Freed


ABUJA – The terrorist group, Boko Haram sect has released 21 of the abducted Chibok girls.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has confirmed release.

He said the freed girls are now with the Secret Police, DSS.
Shehu on his Twitter handle @GarShehu tweeted “It is confirmed that 21 of the missing girls have been released and are in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.

The #BringBackOurGirls Movement has been mounting pressure on the Muhammadu Buhari-led government of late, to do more to secure the release of the Chibok girls.

Sundiata Post recalls that about 219 schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents from their hostels in Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State in April 2014.
It is not yet clear how the girls were freed.
