The silver-color signboard showing `British Embassy’ was installed on the exterior wall of the British embassy’s complex in central district of Tehran.
Switzerland had been representing British interests in Iran during the embassy’s closure.
Groups of local and foreign media as well as hundreds of people witnessed the reopening of the embassy.
The embassy was stormed by a group of angry Iranian students in 2011 to protest Britain’s nuclear-related sanctions. (Xinhua/NAN)
