Sokoto – Alhaji Abubakar Yabo, an APC Chieftain in Sokoto state, on Friday called on Nigerians to show more understanding and exercise patience with the Buhari administration.
He made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto.
Yabo expressed optimism that Nigeria would witness a turn-around that would generally improve the living standard of its citizens when the 2016 budget is implemented.
“Nigerians must be a bit patient; President Buhari is very aware of current difficulties and has assured the APC that things will improve significantly when the budget is implemented,” he said.
He described the 2016 budget as a total package, stressing that it is well planned to address all key issues.
“Buhari has always assured us that government will ensure strict administration of funds; we have no reason to doubt his sincerity in that respect,” he said.
He called for more support for government’s fight against corruption and insurgency, pointing out that the twin evil is being tackled head on.
“A lot of success has been recorded in the fight against insurgency and we can all see that residents of the north east have started moving back to their homes,” he said.
Besides, he urged Nigerians to support the fight against crime by offering useful intelligence reports that could prevent crime and lead to the arrest and prosecution criminals. (NAN)
