Buhari meets Zulum over insecurity

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night met with Borno Governor Babagana Zulum, at the State House, Abuja.

Although details of the meeting are still being awaited, sources said the discussions centred around the security situation in Borno State.

Activities of terrorist elements, including Boko Haram and the Islamic State, West African Province (ISWAP), have intensified in the Northeast region of the country recently.

On Sunday, more than 30 soldiers were reportedly lost to a terrorist invasion on a military base in Mainok town around 60 kilometres out of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
