CAF names 2 Nigerian officials for WAFU Cup

Sundiata Post – The Confederation of African, CAF, has named two Nigerians among referees and assistant referees for the 2024 WAFU ‘B’ qualifiers.

Salisu Basheer is among the seven referees who will officiate at the competition.

His compatriot, Muhammad Yakubu, will serve as an assistant referee.

Ghana will host the competition from May 15 to 29, 2024.

Reigning champions Nigeria, host Ghana as well as Cote D’Ivoire, Benin. Niger, Togo and Burkina Faso will vie for the title.

The competition will also serve as qualifiers for the next edition of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
