Osogbo, – Pastor Muyiwa Emmanuel, the Senior Pastor of living Faith Church, Osogbo, has urged Christians not to allow the challenges of life to distract them from the love of God.
Emmanuel made the call during his sermon at the Church Sunday service in Osogbo.
Reading from 1 corinthians 3 vs5, the cleric said God sometimes allowed challenges in the life of Christians so they could be eternally dependent on him.
He advised that rather than being bitter toward God during trial periods, Christians should hold on to His promises from his words.
The pastor, who said that when Christians faced challenges the devil would question their love for God and God’s love for them, stressed that they should remain steadfast.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
He added that “those who are bitter in the hour of challenges cannot come out better in life.
“If you truly love God as a Christian, you will serve Him no matter what you may be passing through.’’
The cleric said God permitted challenges so as to launch Christians to new level in life and restore their erring souls.
Emmanuel then urged Christians to always serve and love God no matter the challenges, adding that “God is too big to lie not to fulfil His promises.
“So, no matter the challenges, God will always find a way out for the rightoues.’’ (NAN)
