BIRNIN KEBBI – Some clerics in Kebbi on Saturday enjoined Christians to always propagate peace and mutual respect to promote national unity in line with the teachings of Christianity.
Rev. Abdullahi Bunza, who heads the ECWA Church in Gandun Makera area of Birnin Kebbi said while addressing Christians as part of Christmas and Boxing day celebrations, that they should also pray for divine intervention in the country.
He solicited prayers for leaders to discharge their responsibilities to the people with the fear of God and compassion.
Bunza further enjoined Christians to imbibe the teachings of Jesus Christ by relating well with their neighbors and exhibitig the spirit of love and sacrifice as exemplified by Christ.
Also, Rev. Nathaniel Ibrahim, of ECWA Church, Jega, said the Yuletide should be used for sober reflection and prayers for peace, unity and brotherhood in the country.
Ibrahim enjoined Christians to always exhibit the teachings of Christianity by showing love and concern for people irrespective of religious differences.
He also prayed for divine intervention that would enable leaders satisfy the yearnings of the people. (NAN)
