Abuja – The National Stakeholders Luncheon being organised by Centre for Management Development (CMD), in collaboration with Western Atlantic Corporations Nigeria Limited, will no longer hold on Thursday, an official has said.
Elder Gabriel Adeoye, CMD’s Deputy Director Corporate Affairs, said on Wednesday in Abuja that the event was earlier scheduled to hold from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the luncheon was slated for the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja, with President Muhammadu Buhari expected to be in attendance.
NAN reports also that the luncheon is of the First Mortgage and Real Estate Academy in Nigeria (MORE Academy).
“President Buhari’s absence, as a result of his trip out of the country, necessitated the shift,’’ Adeoye said in a press statement.
He however said the postponement has not affected the event, as it would hold very soon with all the invited guests and activities still expected as earlier planned.
NAN reports that guests expected at the event include the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udo Udoma, and the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
Also expected is Babatunde Fashola, the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, and Dr Ade Akinfolurin, the Managing Director of Western Atlantic Corporations.
