ABUJA – Mr. Andrew Yakubu, a former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, will be arraigned in court this morning (Monday) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Yakubu will be arraigned alongside Jide Omokore before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
According to the EFFC, they would be arraigned on a four-count charge bordering on money laundering.
Other individual defendants to the charge are: Victor Briggs, Above Membere and David Mbanefo.
The corporate defendants are: Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited and Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Limited.
Mr Yakubu was appointed as NNPC GMD in 2012 by former President Goodluck Jonathan. (PromptNewsOnline)
