Cairo – A course organised for Young Talent Referees by African soccer’s governing body, CAF, is underway in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
According to CAF, the Aug. 2 to Aug. 8 Aug course seeks to equip the young referees with the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the effective control of games at higher level.
“It is to give them guidance on latest trends in modern refereeing. It is also to prepare them for international matches ahead, as well as check their medical and fitness status’’.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
The Young Talent category is the third tier of the CAF Refereeing Structure, and is constituted by referees and assistant referees below 30 years. Elite A is the topmost level followed by the Elite B category.
No fewer than 30 referees and assistant referees including six females are taking part in the course. (PANA/NAN)
