Ekiti Election: PDP is coasting home – Fayose’s camp claims early lead

As early results into the governorship election surfaces, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says its candidate, Ayo Fayose is coasting home to .

In a telephone with DailyPost, Mr. Lere Olayinka, Fayose’s media aide, said the party is proud of the performance of security agencies as well as the , INEC.

“Ayo Fayose is coasting home. The people have spoken with one voice. Go to the polling units and see things for yourself.

“Ekitis Fayemi and this is what is happening. Forget what APC leaders are saying from Lagos. They’ve all been defeated.”

Olayinka urged INEC not to fall for blackmail and intimidation from the APC.

“They have been doing a good job and Mr. Fayose and entire PDP enourages them not to relent.”

Statistics from the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, shows that the state’s Gender Distribution of Voter Population is: Females: 371, 419 (51%); Males: 360, 747 (49%).

Although accreditation was initially slow, later picked up with many having their voters’ cards authenticated.

The election is being keenly followed by the Nigerians  home and abroad, likewise the international community.
