Olayemi Oyebanji, the First Lady of Ekiti, has expressed admiration for Damilola Adeparusi, also known as Chef Dammy, who is currently attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon lasting 120 hours.
Previously, the record was held by Hilda Baci, who sent her words of encouragement to Chef Dammy on Sunday.
Oyebanji acknowledged that Damilola Adeparusi, an undergraduate from Ekiti, has their love and support as she strives to make this bold statement through her cooking marathon.
The First Lady commended Chef Dammy for her decision to pursue her own path and congratulates her on her courage.
On Sunday, Chef Dammy received a donation of N100,000 from Remi Omowaye, the former Commissioner for Works in Osun State.
Remi expressed that records are meant to be broken, and Damilola should not be condemned for attempting to surpass Hilda’s record.
At the time of writing this report, Chef Dammy had already reached the 77th hour of her cooking marathon.
Chef Hilda, who recently made her own attempt at the longest cookathon by an individual in Lagos, broke her silence regarding Damilola Adeparusi’s ongoing endeavor to surpass her achievement.
She supported Dammy’s efforts in breaking her Guinness World Record and commended her for having the courage to aim for it.
Chef Hilda tweeted a message of encouragement, highlighting the unique nature of dreams and the boundless passion displayed by Dammy in taking on the cooking challenge.
She advised her to embrace the journey, learn from every experience, and inspire others with her unwavering spirit.
