The Managing Director and Chief Executive of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), Dr. Tinuade Sanda, has formally addressed allegations of her dismissal over poor performance, clarifying that such claims are inaccurate and misrepresentative of her tenure.

In a statement released in Abuja, Sanda outlined the challenges she faced upon assuming office in 2022, including significant debt and operational inefficiencies.

However, with the dedication of her team, Sanda highlighted notable achievements, such as reducing losses and achieving record-high collections without tariff increases. She emphasized her commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence, citing numerous awards and recognitions received for her contributions to the power sector.

Sanda also refuted rumors of her termination, citing positive feedback from the board and ongoing efforts to address internal challenges. She concluded by reaffirming her dedication to serving EKEDC and its stakeholders with integrity and professionalism.
