Kazaure (Jigawa) – Alhaji Najib Adamu, the Emir of Kazaure in Jigawa, on Monday in Kazaure tasked universities in the country to woo the private sector to fund researches in universities.
Adamu spoke when he received Prof. Abubakar Kundiri, the Deputy Vice- Chancellor (Administration) and also the incoming Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, who paid him a courtesy call.
He explained that research was important to solving problems of the society, which would in turn bring development in all spares of life.
“The mandate of universities worldwide is to engage in research for the overall development of the society,” he said.

The emir urged the incoming V-C to focus more on promoting research during his tenure.
Earlier in his remarks, Kundiri said that he was at the palace to formally introduce himself as the incoming V-C and to seek royal blessing and cooperation. (NAN)
