Abuja (Sundiata Post) – An online media communication guru, Razaq Ivori has urged political leaders in the country to establish platforms to engage the youths in development and electoral matters to enhance inclusiveness.
Ivori made the call in an interview with the newsmen on Saturday in Abuja.
The self claimed brain behind the seamless communication stream enjoyed by the APC in the just concluded 2018 Osun elections said such platform could enhance inclusiveness.
“The APC campaign team during the just concluded Osun elections were able to successfully communicate their reasons and solutions concerning the controversial civil service salary cuts.
“Seeing the success of the all inclusive communicaton strategy we put in place for the #Obaseki2015 Edo Elections, i had no doubt that getting the Osun APC candidate to meet the young people at the grassroots was the way forward to success.
“My team proceeded to set up youth media hangouts and occasions which attracted all youth organisations in the state and outside the country.
“A series of these platforms gave good opportunities for the APC candidate, now governor elect, Gboyega Oyetola to interact live with Osun youths everywhere including the diaspora,” Ivori said.
According to the online media guru, the easiest way to win election is through the people adding that communication remains indispensable.
He emphasised that vote buying and emergency gifts at the last minute on election day can only gather a few votes while the peoples choice would have been thousands of votes ahead.
“It was a good match, I’m looking forward an interesting 2019”
Ivori urged political leaders and people in authority to establish communication platforms for the youths to be abreast with plans and programmes of government in areas of development and elections.
