Brussels- The European Union Foreign Policy Chief, Federica Mogherini, on Monday, said European Union and its international partners would step up efforts to curb financing of terrorist networks.
Mogherini said this in Brussels, adding that the efforts would start with a meeting of experts planned in the “coming days.’’

The EU official said experts from the EU, the U.S., Australia, Canada, Japan, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and UN agencies would take part in the meeting in Brussels.
“The target is in particular the Islamic State group.
“EU foreign ministers have also taken series of other anti-terrorism decisions, including improved communication with Arab-speaking populations.
“We have also launched counterterrorism projects outside the EU and posted security attaches in delegations abroad to boost cooperation with third countries,’’ Mogherini said. (dpa/NAN)
