Experts Want More Transparency In Oil & Gas Sector

(Sundiata Post) — The Nigerian Government has been urged to improve transparency in the oil and gas sector in the management of resources.
The call was made at the launch of the 2017 Benchmarking Exercise Report and Policy dialogue targeted at improving governance in the oil and gas sector.
The Nigeria Natural Resources Benchmarking Exercise Report and Policy dialogue is geared towards identifying the progress made so far in the petroleum sector and areas that require improvements.
The report is intended to shape government policies in petroleum industry to help bring about economic growth.
Participants at the events said that the essence of the report is to bring about awareness of the situation in the oil and gas sector and the impacts on the people.
The Nigeria Natural Resources Charter (NNRC) is a non-profit policy institute that implements a set of principles which determine how best to manage natural resource wealth.
