BADGRY – Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Thursday decried the slow pace of work at the housing estate being constructed in Ajara, Badagry.
Fashola, who paid an unscheduled visit to Badagry to inspect some ongoing projects, directed the contractors to hasten work on the housing scheme.
The governor also inspected work at Songhai, a youth empowerment agricultural scheme at Avia area in Badagry.
At Songhai farm, a project under the state Ministry of Agriculture, Fashola inspected fish ponds and the crops cultivated, which include water melon, banana, plantain and cucumber.
Other crops also cultivated in the farm are cassava, yam, cocoa, maize and pawpaw. (NAN)
