ADO-EKITI – The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, has said that the relationship between him and a Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, was cordial.

Adejugbe made this known on Sunday when he received Fayose, who was on a campaign tour of Ado Local Government Area, in palace at Ado-Ekiti.

Fayose is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the 2014 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State.

The traditional ruler noted that he was thinking or talking about the past, adding that the past had gone with its inadequacies.

He, however, enjoined candidates of all political parties, including Fayose, to be in their campaigns, so as to throw the state into violence.

“We do want fighting, violence and in Ekiti State, what we want is peace and progress”, the Oba said.

Earlier, Fayose told the Oba that he was in palace to pay homage, as well as seek his royal blessings.

Fayose praised the Ewi for being magnanimous in forgiving him wrong doings of the past, adding that he was now a better person, more responsible, mature and responsive.

The governorship candidate never to allow anybody to stand between him and the Ewi again. (NAN)
