ABUJA – The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has condoled with Olorogun Ima Niboro, the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, on the passing on of his mother.
Jonathan, in a letter to Niboro in Abuja on Monday, expressed her personal pain at the loss of Deaconess Agnes Owoma Ukeseh.
Also, Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta expressed deep condolences to Niboro on the loss of his mother.
In a statement, Uduaghan observed that Ukeseh’s passing on was a painful development for the Niboro family.
“I know the pains of losing a beloved mother,” the governor said, and assured the bereaved family that he and the people of Delta were in solidarity with them. [eap_ad_1] While extolling the virtues of Ukeseh, Jonathan said it was reassuring that she lived a fulfilled life as a nursing matron, a devout Christian and an outstanding community leader who positively touched many lives.
She prayed Almighty God to comfort the Niboro family.
Uduaghan used the opportunity to commend Niboro’s path of professional service to Nigeria.
“To have served as Adviser to the president and subsequently appointed managing director of NAN is a vote of confidence,” the governor said of Niboro.
Meanwhile, dignitaries from across Nigeria have continued to pay their condolences to Niboro.
Among the dignitaries is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof AbdulGaniyu Ambali, who prayed God to comfort members of the family. (NAN)
