PARIS – French President Francois Hollande, on Friday said four African leaders are expected to attend a major economic summit in Paris next week.
He said Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid, Senegal President Macky Sall, Gabon [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]President Ali Bongo Ondimba and Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouatarra were scheduled to address the Franco-African summit.
Hollande said Nigerian Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was also due to speak at the event, which the French government had previously billed as leading to “shared growth” between France and the African continent.
He said a new foundation for economic growth was also expected to be launched at the event, which was being attended by business leaders.
