Nnewi (Anambra)- Gabros International Football Club of Nnewi on Sunday announced their return to the elite division with a 2-0 win over visitors Warri Wolves FC.
An early goal from Michael Ohanu in the 4th minute and another by Onyekachi Nwaiwu in the 90th minute made the difference.
After a first half dominated largely by the Nnewi side, the Warri boys fought back in the early part of the second half, but all their efforts were to no avail.
However, Oluchukwu Nwosu, the home side’s skipper, shone like a million stars as he stabilised his side with deft moves.

Meanwhile, while speaking after the match, Mitko Dobrev, Chief Coach of the home side, said he was satisfied with the level of their game as winning was the team’s mentality.
Dobrev said all that mattered was the three points in every game, promising that he would make the team the pride of the Nigerian premier league.
Also speaking, Azubuike Egwuekwe, a defender with Warri Wolves, said losing was part of the game of football.
He however said the home side was not spectacular.
