OGBOMOSO – Former Governor of Oyo State Adebayo Alao-Akala has described the death of Chief Gbade Ishola, his former media aide, as very painful and shocking.
Ishola, a former Senior Special Assistant on Media to Alao-Akala, died after a brief illness on Thursday in Ibadan and was buried on Friday.
Alao-Akala said in a condolence message issued by his media consultant, Mr Abraham Ojo, on Friday in Ogbomoso that Ishola showed maximum loyalty and commitment as a senior special assistant in the state.
In spite of pressures and persecution from various quarters, he refused to be intimidated and never allowed primordial sentiment to becloud his sense of judgment, Alao-Akala said.
He said the late Ibadan high chief would be remembered for his humility and tremendous contributions not only to journalism but also to all areas of human endeavour.
He prayed for the repose of his soul, and for God to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss. (NAN)
