Dutse – Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa, on Wednesday queried Alhaji Na’annabi Ahmad the state Ag. Head of Civil Service (HOS), for coming late to office.
Malam Muhammad Zaki, Special Assistant (SA) on Media and Publicity to the governor, made the disclosure in a statement issued to newsmen in Dutse.
The statement said Ahmad was queried after the governor paid an unscheduled visit to the state secretariat by 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
“Governor Muhammad Badaru has queried the Acting Head, State Civil Service, Alhaji Na’Annabi Ahmad for not being on his seat by nine o’ clock in the morning on Wednesday.
“The governor, who made an unscheduled visit to the new secretariat minutes after 9 a.m. ordered the closure of the secretariat’s gate,’’ the statement said.

It said that during the visit, the governor met very few civil servants at the secretariat.
The statement said the governor however met some Permanent Secretaries on their seats during the visit.
It added that the governor directed the immediate issuance of written warning to officials who were not on their seat when the governor visited.
It said that Badaru warned public officers that his administration would not tolerate lateness, absenteeism and laxity. (NAN)
