Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, stressed the importance of prioritizing Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) over heavy reliance on borrowing to fund national and sub-national budgets. He cautioned against excessive borrowing amid economic challenges, advocating for sustainable revenue generation strategies.
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State criticized inefficiencies and corruption in the current tax administration system, highlighting issues such as tax evasion and lack of transparency.
