Abuja – The Rebuild Nigeria Initiative, an NGO, has expressed its delight with the current form of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The Coordinator of the group, Pastor Magnus Leo, in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, said the commitment of the Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, was paying off.
Super Eagles on Friday,Sept.1 in Uyo, walloped Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 4-0, and were forced to 1-1 draw in Yaounde on Monday, Sept.4.
The outcome of the matches had further boosted Nigeria’s chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Leo said that the sports minister had on Aug. 30, vowed to deliver the World Cup ticket.
“The minister had given Nigerians great assurance that the Supper Eagles will qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
“ That is playing out as the Super Eagles of Nigeria showed up superb performances at the qualifiers both in Uyo and Yaoundé.
“ This has given hope to Nigerians that the world cup ticket is as good as delivered as promised.
“ Nigeria now has one home game and one away game in the world cup qualifier series, there is nothing to fear as 11 points are all that the team needed to qualify for the 2018 world cup.’’
