Hong Kong – The Food Safety Authority of China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Tuesday said it recalled three French formula products for infants and young children that might be contaminated with salmonella.
The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) of the HKSAR Government’s Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said it ordered the recall of three Inovital Infant milk products.
The three infant formula products were meant for consumption by children between six months to 12 months, and from one to three years.
The formula products were manufactured by Lactalis International and imported by Jumbo Smart Development with a best before date ranging from March 13, 2019, to June 27, 2019.
The CFS, upon receiving notification from European Commission’s food alert system that affected products had been imported into Hong Kong, instructed the importer to recall them.
It also urged the public not to let infants and young children consume the products. (Xinhua/NAN)
