Lagos – A father of two, Franklin Ogra, on Wednesday urged an Ojo Customary Court, Lagos, to dissolve his four-year-old marriage to his wife, Oluchi, for allegedly absconding with his two daughters.
Ogra told the court that his wife packed some of his property and his two girls to her village in Ebonyi.
“This is the second time that my wife packed away from my house without my knowledge. I will come back from work to discover that she has absconded.
“I married my wife legally as I should, I am not owing the family but she does not have regard for me, she fights me without reason, I am fed up,’’ he said.
He said the first time she left, “I went looking for her but this time around, I am not ready to look for her.

“The first time, she left with my first daughter two years ago, I sent money to her to return, but my people said I should not repeat it,’’ he said.
Ogra said Oluchi was getting too violent and troublesome and that he was no longer ready to continue with the marriage.
He, therefore, pleaded with the court to dissolve the marriage to save his life from further threat.
The court President, Mrs Veronica Willoughby, appealed to him to make a second effort for reconciliation but he refused.
Willoughby told him that there must be efforts made to get Oluchi to appear in court before any judgment could take place.
She further requested that her phone contact be handed to the court clerk for possible summon and hearing.
Willoughby adjourned the case till March 21, to allow the court contact Oluchi. (NAN)
