Nasarawa United striker, Abubakar Aliyu Ibrahim, is expected to seal a summer move to one of the former Dutch champions, Eredivisie.
Supersport.com has been informed that the Dutch club has been expecting Ibrahim for a couple of weeks now but some paperwork issues with the Dutch authorities delayed his travel.
The documents have finally been authorised by the Dutch authorities and Abubakar is now expected to depart Nigeria in a matter of days, according to GBS Academy manager, Ibrahim Ahmed.[eap_ad_2]
“Abubakar Ibrahim will leave for The Netherlands in a few days with his representative. He is going to a top Dutch club. I can not reveal more until the deal is sealed. “Abubakar is a very special talent with a great mentality. From a very young age our academy coaches identified him as a player with great potential. I am very happy for him,” said Ibrahim to supersport.com.
His London-based agent, Tony Harris, confirmed that Abubakar will depart for The Netherlands soon but refused to disclose any further detail.
The Nasarawa United striker, groomed from the GBS Academy which produced the like of Ahmed Musa, scored the winning goal for Nigeria against Morocco in the quarterfinals of the African Nations Championship (Chan) in South Africa earlier this year. (supersport.com)[eap_ad_3]
