Enugu Deputy GovernorThe embattled Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi has gone into hiding, DailyPost learnt.

Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly commenced impeachment proceedings against him on Tuesday.

Onyebuchi is believed to have incurred the wrath of the state government for nursing ambition of going to the Senate in 2015.

However, the lawmakers accused him of certain allegations, which included rearing chicken in his official quarters at the Government House.

A source told DailyPost that it has been difficult for the Clerk of the House to serve Onyebuchi the impeachment notice, as he has reportedly left Enugu and is presently taking refuge in one of the states in the South-East.[eap_ad_2]

The Deputy Governor, whose last official public function was at the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Academy in Udi, Enugu State, has reportedly fled his private residence in the state.

Onyebuchi, who represented Governor Sullivan Chime, commissioned the FRSC Academy.

For nearly two years, he has lived in his private residence, following a slow-pace renovation work going on at his official quarters.DailyPost gathered that when the House resumes plenary tomorrow, Thursday, the lawmakers may resort to serving the impeachment notice on him through the media.[eap_ad_3]
