Kano- The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kano State on Saturday directed electoral officers in the local government areas to rectify hitches being experienced in some polling units,
The Assistant Director, Public Affairs of the commission, Alhaji Lawal Garba, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano.
NAN reports that late arrival of election materials and INEC personnel in some local government areas had affected the take off of the exercise.

“We have directed electoral officers in the affected local government areas to go out and ensure that the problems are solved.
He said the directive followed complaints from some areas, particularly Kano Municipal and Dala Local Government Areas, among others.
He assured that the commission would address the challenges.(NAN).
