Italian giants FC Internazionale Milano have joined the race to sign striker Paul Onuachu the coming transfer window.

Onuachu had signed a contract with his Belgian club, KRC Genk, but he has caught the attention of topflight clubs around Europe, including Spanish champions, Atletico Madrid.

Inter Milan have set their sights on the towering striker to bolster their attacking options after Romelu Lukaku’s departure to Chelsea, Football Italia reports.

During the summer transfer window, the 27-year-old was on the verge of joining Premier side, West Ham, managed by former Manchester coach David Moyes, but the deal fell through due to a difference opinion over the player’s valuation.

Before joining Genk 2019, Onuachu made 181 appearances for FC Midtjylland finding the back of the net 74 times in all competitions.
